Cuento Theatre

Led by Joel Settles a San Antonio based actor, playwright and Theatre Arts educator, Joel encourages children to step out and express themselves. Beginning with teaching basic warm-up techniques, before they realize it, the kids are acting and taking on characters. Our favorite part of this workshop is seeing parents surprise and delight at seeing their child doing something creative - and also seeing discovery on the kids faces. Joel is a gem to have on our SMART Team. Thanks Joel!

Cupcake Mania

Culinary art design - aka "cupcake mania". Gooey, sparkly, crunchy topped masterpieces. This workshop is just pure fun. Parents and kids team up to create edible goodies. Watching the kids wrap and carefully cart their masterpieces to the car (or mom or dad) with big smiles on their faces is worth all the stickyness! A favorite workshop for all the obvious reasons. A big thank you to Jennifer Yantis who "loves to cook and wanted to do something.." Thanks Jen!
