Mural projects

Stephen F. Austin Academy Mural Project

As a SMART Art project, Stephen F. Austin Academy 6th grade students create the mural to be placed in the school's gymnasium. Shannon Tapia, 6th grade art teacher, mentors her students on how to scale large size art work for public viewing. The size of the mural is 8 ft x 16 ft. Middle school students, Lucia Martinez, Jorge Martinez, Manuel Hernandez, are quite passionate on going up and down a ladder with paint brushes. Jose A. Cosme, aka. "Cosme" helps them during the painting process.
